Captain Franklin Larabee, Captain USCT is the great-great-grandfather of Susan Hadenchuk, a member of BCWRT. Among his many battles. he led a Company of colored troops on the Second Battle of Ft. Fisher and went on to occupy Wilmington.
Major General William Dorsey Pender, CSA, is the well regarded Confederate General who is the great-great-great uncle of Roy Pender and the great-great-great-great uncle of Cliff Pender, both members of BCWRT.
